Ash Wednesday Events (Feb.10)

“Ashes to Go” 7:45-10:15 a.m. – ISU Memorial Union

We’re offering students, faculty and others the opportunity to receive the imposition of ashes EARLY at the Memorial Union. A card will be handed out with prayers and scriptures. The service is a come-and-go format with time for personal devotions. You’ll find us on the first-floor landing at the West end of the building.

Ash Wednesday Worship 7:30 p.m. – Sanctuary

A quiet and simple service with songs, scriptures, silence, a brief message, Communion, and the imposition of ashes. This meaningful worship experience is about 45 minutes in length. All are welcome; youth groups will attend.

Maundy Thursday Worship (Mar. 24)

“Meal of Passion” – 7:30 p.m. – Sanctuary

This worship service, centered around the remembrance of Jesus’ last supper with his disciples, will offer the sacrament of Holy Communion. Come, preparing to reflect on scriptures while singing Taize meditative hymns. Rev. Scott Grotewold will offer a message remembering minor characters (villains and heroes) in the passion story.

Good Friday Worship (Mar. 25)

7:30 p.m. – Sanctuary

Scriptures, silence, songs and shared reflections will guide us as we contemplate Jesus’ final days. Rev. Jim Shirbroun, preaching.
