Holy Week, the days from Palm Sunday (when Jesus entered Jerusalem) thru Easter Sunday (which celebrates the Resurrection), begins Sunday, April 13th. Here are the upcoming activities coming up at Collegiate/Wesley. You’re always welcome at any of them!
Walk the Labyrinth During Holy Week.
Wednesday, April 16 – Saturday, April 19
The Labyrinth is a symbol for pilgrimage of your spiritual journey, and some say it is putting feet to your prayers. It allows you a place to, upon entering, let go of things of this world, at the center sit quietly with the presence of God, and upon leaving pick up only those things necessary for the journey. The Labyrinth will be available to walk at the Annex Auditorium, from 11 AM – 8 PM on Wednesday thru Friday of Holy Week. From 6-8 PM there will someone there if you have questions. Saturday it will be available from 9 AM to noon. A group walk will take place at 11 AM Saturday, just before taking the Labyrinth down.

Palm Sunday Worship

This service will feature the final sermon in the current sermon series, The Devilish Dialogues. In addition, you are invited to bring a child’s light jacket/coat to donate. We’ll be donating the coats to the Ames school district’s homelessness program as well as to other agencies. Sizes 5 thru teen sizes preferred, new or gently used. The coats will be placed on the altar as part of the worship service.
