Clothing that Works / Computers to Work had its ribbon cutting on Wednesday, October 1st! Located in the Collegiate United Methodist Church/Wesley Foundation Annex, 130 S. Sheldon Suite 308, Clothing that Works/Computers to Work is currently open from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. The hours will be expanded as the demand and volunteer availability grows.

Formerly known as Suited for Work, this new organization provides free clothing for individuals who are seeking work or starting new jobs. In addition, two IowaWORKS access point computers are available for job searches.

Donations of business casual clothing can be brought to the room whenever the building is open, typically from roughly 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays plus Sunday and Wednesday evenings.

Clothing that Works logoDonations requested (should be in very good to new condition):

● Polo shirts
● Black, khaki, brown or blue pants
● Jeans
● Non-logo T shirts
● Solid colored button down shirts
● Scrubs
● New/nearly new underwear
● New/nearly new socks
● Tennis shoes
● Work shoes or boots
● Non-skid black shoes

If you would like a receipt or assistance, please stop by during our open hours. Note that we are not collecting suits, heels, dresses, skirts, suit jackets or blazers. Please utilize other clothing locations such as the Bethesda Clothing Room, Goodwill or the Harmony Clothing Closet (in Nevada).
