For those of us privileged to share our home and our lives with animals, they are definitely a part of the family! Churches hold blessings of many kinds during the year, and it is a tradition for many families of faith to hold a “Blessing of the Animals” service sometime during the week of the birthday of St. Francis of Assisi, who definitely had a soft spot in his heart for God’s critters!

On Saturday, October 7 at 10 AM on the front terrace (UPDATE: In case of rain, we’ll move to the Norman Room), we will gather to bless the animals that bless us every day of the year. Invite your friends and neighbors and their beloved pets to join with us for this special celebration! All pets welcome…even snakes! (We strongly encourage you to a leash and/or crate, by the way.)
